SUSTAIN 2025 Guidelines

PROGRAMME NAME
​
Programme Name: Sustainable Innovation (SUSTAIN 2025).
Programme Aim: This programme aims to recognize creative and innovative ideas/products using recyclable materials. These materials can be transformed into something new and functional as designed.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
​

Open to all undergraduate & postgraduate students from higher learning institutions, educators, lecturers, researchers, and industry professionals.

Entries that emphasize sustainable innovation, including solutions that promote environmental conservation, efficient resource use, or long-term social benefits, are strongly encouraged.

Each institution may submit more than one entry.

Each entry may be individual or group (maximum of 5 participants and 1 supervisor).

Each entry must complete the registration form and attach the payment slip via the provided link on the website.

For physical participation, each group is required to prepare a poster and a prototype (if any). For online participation, each group is required to prepare a poster and a video to be submitted to the committee.

The "Best of the Best" award will only be applicable to physical participants.

Awards and Certificates: Each entry will receive one medal and an e-certificate. Participants who wish to purchase additional medals can do so for RM50.00 / USD 20.00 per medal.

FORMAT VIDEO
​
The video must clearly explain the idea, concept, design sketches, types of recyclable materials, and the product’s functions. It should highlight the usefulness and benefits to society. The video must also show alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The video must not exceed 5 minutes in duration and must be uploaded to YouTube. The YouTube video link must be included in the submission form.
All participants must be prepared to answer questions from the jury panel via YouTube comments. The YouTube video must be set to allow comments so the jury panel can ask questions in the comment section. The judging session for online participants will begin on October 15, 2025. Therefore, participants must be ready to respond to questions (if any) before November 5, 2025.
