PROGRAM
Sustainable Innovation (SUSTAIN 2024)

OBJECTIVE
This programme aims to recognize creative and innovative ideas/products using recyclable materials. These materials can be transformed into something new and functional as designed.
PARTICIPATION TARGET
Undergraduate and postgraduate students of higher learning institutions, educators, lecturers, researchers, and industry.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Each institution can submit more than one entry.

Each entry can be individual or in a group (maximum of 5 participants and only 1 supervisor).

Each entry must complete the participation form and attach the payment slip through the provided link in our website.

Registration confirmation and participation ID number will be provided via email within two (2) weeks after the registration is made.

I) For physical participation: Each group is required to prepare a poster and prototype (if any).
II) For online participation: Each group is required to prepare a poster and a video to be submitted to the secretariat. -
The "Best of the Best" award will only be applicable to physical participants.

Each entry will receive one medal and an e-certificate. Participants who wish to purchase additional medals can do so for RM50.00 / USD 20.00 per medal.

SUBMISSION CRITERIA
Online Participation
Each group must prepare a poster and video of the idea/product as follows:

The poster and video must clearly explain the idea, concept, design sketches, types of recyclable materials, and the product's functions. The poster should be in PDF format and only one page.

The video must not exceed 5 minutes in duration and must be uploaded to YouTube. The YouTube video link must be included in the submission form.

All participants must be prepared to answer questions from the jury panel via YouTube comments. The YouTube video must be set to allow comments so the jury panel can ask questions in the comment section. The judging session for online participants will begin on November 1, 2024. Therefore, participants must be ready to respond to questions (if any) before November 15, 2024.

Physical Participation

Each group must prepare a poster and a prototype (if any).

The poster must clearly explain the idea, concept, design sketches, types of recyclable materials, and the product's functions. The poster should be in size A1 and only one page.

All participants must be prepared for a Q&A session with the jury panel during the judging session.
