PROGRAMME
Truss Tower Competition 2025

AIM
-
To foster interest and talent among students in research and development of science, engineering, and mathematics innovation.
-
To enhance skills and develop innovation in designing Telecommunication Tower models to produce innovative projects.
-
To improve communication and social skills during the project development process.
PARTICIPATION TARGET
Divided into two categories: High school students and Higher education institution students.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Students must comply with the model specifications, and the model design should be either statically determinate or statically indeterminate up to 2 degrees only. The evaluation is based on the lightest tower weight and maximum load capacity, aside from creativity.

PARTICIPATION PROCEDURE
Procedure
The registration process must follow the following procedures:

Group registration is done online.

All details in the online registration form must be completed accurately and correctly.

The project link (proposed model and force analysis of each truss member - Category B) must be submitted online.

The organizers have the right to reject any incomplete or late entries that do not meet the requirements on the competition day.

Poster
All teams (Category B only) are required to prepare an A3-sized poster using the 'Times New Roman' font. The poster must be written in English and should include the following sections: Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Analysis, Conclusion and relevant pictures. For teams in Category A, a poster is not required.

Judging Process
The judging process will take place on the competition day. All teams must be ready with the completed Truss Tower model and poster (Category B only). Evaluation is based on structural efficiency, aesthetics, truss performance and poster. The judging schedule will be provided before the competition day.

Exhibition and Evaluation Day
The model must be fully completed. The poster board for presentation, according to each group's creativity, must be prepared by the group themselves.
